How We Rate Betting Sites
Five criteria, weighted toward what can be checked rather than what is advertised.
The criteria and their weights

Where the numbers come from
Brand lists and their order come from a commercial offer lineup that we do not author. Bonus amounts, codes, deposit minimums, rollover multiples and payout windows come from an operator sheet, and the date it was checked appears next to the figures on the page. When two sources disagree we use the more recent one and say so rather than averaging them.
We do not publish a figure we cannot attribute. If a claim would require data we have not verified, the claim does not appear, and where a reader might reasonably expect it we say what is missing and why.
How ratings translate to a score
Each criterion is scored independently, then weighted. Scores are relative to the other books in the same list rather than absolute, so a 4.2 on one page is not directly comparable to a 4.2 on another. Ties are broken on the payout window, because that is the criterion readers feel most directly.
Independence
Grizz Cup earns a commission when a reader opens an account through a link on this site. That is disclosed at the foot of every page. It does not buy a ranking position, and no operator sees a page before it publishes.
The ranking, the ratings and the criticism are set before any commercial consideration. Where a book is the right answer for a narrow group of readers and the wrong one for everybody else, we say that in the review rather than smoothing it into a recommendation.
What we refuse to do
- We do not describe any operator on this site as safe. None of them is supervised by a United States regulator, and the word would imply a protection that is not there.
- We do not publish advice on avoiding identity checks or circumventing geographic restrictions.
- We do not publish content that serves an underage reader. Every operator sets a minimum age and so do we.
- We do not rank on bonus size alone, and we do not accept payment for placement.
